THUNDERBIRD SERIES IV EOD SUIT

The Field Forensics THUNDERBIRD Series IV EOD Suit has evolved over years of trials and development through our partner company, Holdfast Protection in South Africa, whose active and intensive blast testing program gives us significant insight as to how our products are performing. Historically, the EOD Suit design has fallen into one of two versions; either a suit with heavy protection but with restricted mobility or one with improved mobility but achieved at the expense of protection. Neither one an optimum solution. 

TheTHUNDERBIRD Series IV EOD Suit is:

• Lighter than its predecessors
• Combines an ergonomic design while still providing the user with the best possible protection.
• Ballistic pads overlap to allow easy body movement. 
• Can be adjusted in size by variable straps and v-shaped Velcro fasteners.
• Fasteners at the side of the pants facilitate easy donning.
• Pockets have been added to carry important items and tools; can be customized.

EOD/IEDD Bomb Helmet Series IV®

The new Series IV® Helmet is now available with flip-up visor, environmental control system, and CBRN mask compatibility. The modern IED threat now ranges from simple modified fireworks to high tech devices that incorporate detailed firing switches and varying payloads,including chemical or biological agents. The technical response to these IEDs differs considerably throughout the world. One thing, however, remains constant; the need to be protected while working to defeat whatever the threat may be.

The new Series IV Bomb Helmet provides the user with:

• Optimum head protection against blast over pressure, head acceleration and fragmentation.
• Flip up and lockable visor is designed to allow the user the capability to wear CBRN protective breathing apparatus while still maintaining the high levels of protection that the helmet offers.
• Abundant supply of fresh air flow prevents visor from fogging up; also potentially aids to minimize overheating.
• Environmental control system is rated as one of the best on the market. Even while breathing in the extreme cold of a Canadian winter, the environmental system keeps the visor clear, maintaining situational awareness.
