The NIC 'Hawk' Search Kit, designed by experienced EOD operators in a single backpack, to be used by 2 man search teams, 'Hawk' provides significant capability whilst minimizing weight and bulk. Additional space is available in the backpack for teams to enhance the contents with their own equipment. The 'Hawk' offers capability in the following areas:

The modular design of the 'Hawk' system allows the contents to be adapted to suit different scenarios. NIC are able to advise on enhancing the capability, or even reducing the capability depending on the mission. The modular design allows users to specify their own equipment, in order to maintain compatibility with existing in-service equipment.

Search Suit LSA-4

The Lightweight Protective Suit provides protection from fragments caused by explosives and is designed in accordance with the requirements of STANAG 2920 and IMAS 10.30.

Description
The modular suit design allows rapid donning and removal. The individual parts are fixed and connected by robust elastic straps and large velcro fastenings. Maximum wearer comfort was taken into consideration in the design whenever possible and therefore the LSA-4 can be worn for a long period without fatigue.

Design
The design includes a protective vest with collar, a set of blast plates for the front torso, sleeves with elastic straps and Velcro fastening, a pair of trousers overlapping at the sides with optional Velcro fastening and the option of a fragment protection helmet with visor, or, a de-mining visor.

Aigis blast-protected Anti Personnel-Mine Boots are specifically designed to prevent traumatic amputation and help reduce limb damage to a recoverable minimum. The ballistic gaiters prevent flash burns and avoid fragment ingress in both legs. Used worldwide for military and humanitarian de-mining / mine clearance operations.

Personal Mine Extraction Kit

The NIC personal mine extraction kit has been designed using the experience of senior EOD operators. This kit contains all the essential tools in the event of being unexpectedly trapped in a mined area. Housed in a belt-mounted pouch, the extraction kit may also be attached to military webbing. The tools may be withdrawn without removing the kit from the belt. In the event of an unexpected minefield strike, the pouch may be opened and the immediate action instructions and tools are ready to hand. The carbon fiber trip wire finder is exceptionally light and capable of detecting even the most sensitive of trip wires. The mine prodder collapses down, and the sections may be stored in the ergonomically designed handle. 2 different color way markers help identify safe and hazardous routes, and the landmine safety seeker guide helps follow the procedure for minefield strikes. In addition, an intrinsically safe flashlight, and extending mirror are included to aid in searching. This extraction kit is the first comprehensively compiled kit, conveniently stored in a belt-mounted pouch, and should be included in all core 'must go' equipment. It has been designed for civilian as well as military use.
